Bloodrage Guild Charter

Some words from our guild leaders....

Our goal for Bloodrage is for it to be a fun, friendly, and organized guild made up of mature players. Our hope for Bloodrage is for it to grow into a large community of players that enjoy World of Warcraft, making the experience better for their fellow guild members, and their fellow guild members making the experience better for them.
Bloodrage is a casual/family guild, with a heavy but not fanatical lean towards high end raiding. We do not impose many rules or restrictions on our members, however, everyone is expected to read, understand, and follow these rules at all times. We have multiple scheduled guild events each week that are encouraged, but not mandatory.

Bloodrage's Image...

As every member is a reflection on our guild as a whole, all of us are expected to behave honorably and treat others with appropriate respect.

The Future of Bloodrage…

Bloodrage will be an ever evolving community. As the guild and its members grow, policies and rules will grow as well. Our hope is that all members of Bloodrage will continue to have fun and enjoy World of Warcraft as it evolves and we evolve with it. If anyone has questions or comments, please feel free to send an in game tell to an officer. We check email frequently, so we will usually give a prompt response.

OUR GUILD GOALS

I. First and foremost: have fun.
II. Continue to grow and evolve into a stronger guild, capable of handling all high end content, as well as maintaining an active PvP role on the server.
III. Maintain a casual gaming environment for all members, yet also satisfy the more hardcore members of Bloodrage.
IV. Have as little drama as possible.

GUILD RULES

I. Respect your fellow players whether they be guild members or not. Problems with fellow guild members should be taken to tells with an officer, not on guild chat.
II. Inappropriate language is to be kept to a minimum in guild chat or on Vent. If you want to form a separate channel where you can speak freely about whatever you want, you are obviously more than welcome to do so. As we are a family type guild, not everyone appreciates certain language and we will respect their position as such.
III. The rule of “Need Before Greed” is strongly encouraged when it comes to the distribution of loot in groups. All scheduled guild groups will use the “Need Before Greed” system. Pick-up or non-scheduled guild groups can make whatever loot rules they wish, so long as every member of the group agrees to the rules. However, “Need Before Greed” is still greatly encouraged.
IV. Do not beg for anything, period. This is not to say you can not ask for help with these things, but do so politely. Realize also that it is your guild members prerogative to say no, if they so choose.
V. Follow all of Blizzard’s WoW gaming policies. Failure to adhere to these gaming policies will not only bring punishment from Blizzard, but from the guild as well.
VI. No harassment of any form. Any and all unwanted harassing behavior will not be taken lightly; severe punishments will be handed out.
VII. No racist comments, in any form, period.
VIII. The decision of the Guild/Raid leader, regarding loot, a broken rule, etc. is final. While their decision may not be one you agree with, their decision will be respected and adhered to. Any problems with their decision should be handled via tells to officer, who will arange discussion.
IX. If you know you are going to be inactive for a long period of time, please notify an officer. Players that are inactive for more than 30 days without telling anyone may be removed.

PUNISHMENT

I. Failure to follow any rules or guidelines will result in probation or removal from the guild.

RECRUITMENT

I. Your main character should be at least level 70.
II. You must have a good attitude. We do not have time to “baby” players or feed egos.
III. You must be willing to help your fellow guild members. We do not have room for selfish players.
IV. You must be willing to accept suggestions and learn from other members. We have a lot of experienced players who might be able to show you things you’ve never seen or done before, or show you a new way to do something you’ve done 100 times over. No one knows everything, we can all learn from each other.
V. You must be willing to follow group/raid leader’s instructions during Guild events/raids. We have specific Raid Leaders for a reason and nothing causes a complete wipe faster than those not willing to listen to the RL.
VI. You must understand that what helps the guild also helps you the member. Every step we take forward is taken together and trust us when we say what goes around, definitely comes around with our guild.
VII. All brand new members to Bloodrage will start under a 30-day probation period and may be removed for no reason given. If you have a problem with this, don’t even apply.
VIII. If our recruiting is currently closed, and you choose to apply anyway, please do not request or expect a guild invite simply because you applied. Our recruiting officers do not have time to reply to all applications submitted, so if you are not contacted by one, it means we are unable to offer you an invitation at this time. We do save applications and will review them when guild spots either become available or necessary. Also, if you are not willing to drop your current guild tag before applying, please don’t apply. It is not fair to your current guild to be actively seeking placement in another guild while still being in theirs.

RAIDING GUIDELINES AND RULES

I. You must bring a good attitude to all raids. Being down on the raid or problems the raid might be having does nothing but compound the problems.
II. You must have a willingness to listen, learn, and follow directions. As mentioned before, nothing will crash or wipe a raid faster than not following directions.
III. You must have the willingness to live with the Raid Leaders decisions. High end raids can take in excess of 3-4 hours on good nights. We do not have time to stop and argue out a decision made. Any problems must wait until after the raid to be discussed.
IV. Be sure to have fun, yet focus on getting the job done. Goofing off or messing around will inevitably cause unnecessary wipes. Have fun, but stay focused on the task at hand.
V. Leave your ego at the zone in.
VI. Be on Vent, for timely and effective communication. This alone can make or break a raid. Also, we encourage you to use the in-game chat channels, such as BRTanks or BRHealers.
VII. Have these required mods installed and setup before joining a raid: Vent, Deadly Boss Mods, CT Raid Assist, KTMThreatmeter or Omen.
VIII. Please make sure you meet the minimum skill or attribute level (resistance, DPS, healing, etc.) needed for a raid instance.
IX. Use the raid sign-up page!.
X. Any arguments or complaints, please take it to tells. Complaints or arguments during the raids, either in Vent or guild/raid chat, will draw a warning that will only be issued once. If you continue to push the issue, you will be removed from the raid. People raid to have fun. When someone continues to vocally argue or complain, it brings morale down and takes away from everyone’s enjoyment. If your problem is such that you feel you can not continue without pushing the issue further, please do the right thing and remove yourself from the raid.
XI. Please try and be at the instance entrance early, before the posted invite time preferably, so we can get invites out quickly. Anyone not in the raids zone will not get an invite until they arrive. The reason for this is so we can get the raid started on time so that people that have limited time can maximize their time available as a courtesy to them. It will also allow us to get as many bosses down as possible.
XII. Bloodrage does not force certain raiding specs on any class! We have a class discussion section on the forums where people can discuss their build preferences, give their opinion on talents, or talk about anything related to their class. We do not force any re-specs. We are a raiding guild, we are into end game raiding, and therefore some specs do work better than others, but that does not mean you have to spec a certain way if you do not want to. It’s all about what is more fun for you! If you have questions on talent specs, post your opinions and questions in our class discussion area.

THE RAID QUEUE

The following guidelines are for those who sign up in raid queue or who come online and wish to join an ongoing raid.
I. Please be aware the a Queued position does not guarantee a spot. When a spot in the raid opens we will fill it starting with the top of the Queue and work our way down into the Waiting list. If you are not online when a spot opens, then we have to go to the next person in line. Please be patient and if you wish to play an alt park your main in front of the instance entrance and let the waiting list officer know your on an alt.
II. Class balance is essential for a successful raid. Based on the needs of the raid, we may need to choose a specific class to fill in any open positions. Don’t take it personally if someone is taken before you, it is only done to keep raid balance.

AFK OR OFFLINE IN RAIDS

I. We understand the need to sometimes go AFK while in raids. Real life things happen constantly and everyone has to accept that. However being AFK for more than 15 minutes is considered excessive, and we will need to replace you with someone else in the queue. The same is true for people who lose connection for more than 15 minutes. While we realize this is not something you can control, as a guild we need to continue forward with the raid. Raids can take in excess of 4 hours to complete as is, we can not afford to sit and wait more than 15 minutes for someone to return from being AFK or to get their internet connection back up.

We really don't wish to make raiding complicated or impose too many stipulations, as we realize too many restrictions greatly take away from the experience. We want the experience of raiding to be fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. However, we truly see the above as necessary and ask that you all can abide and respect these rules and regulations, as well as any judgement calls made by the raid leader and officers.

Thank you, and let’s have some fun!
